This garden was built in 1938 and it’s located in Rua Conde Carvalhal, involving an area of 2.000 m2 and it is divided into 2 levels: belvedere over Funchal’s Bay on top and garden beneath.
In 2007 this space went through a process of remodeling: the walls, pergolas and pavement were recovered, benches were placed and lighting system was improved.
A big asset was the creation of a tile panel by Adriana Lajinha, depicting and old image of Funchal.
